Starving artist
My name is Chris. I’m a seasoned, self-taught graphic designer, web design tinkerer, photographer, and Adobe Photoshop nerd (who hasn’t yet sold any artwork). Currently, I’m a guild member at Union Street Gallery in “lovely” Chicago Heights, Illinois. However, branching out to other galleries has yielded limited success.
My art
While I consider my photography portfolio to be comparable to other photographers’ work, I haven’t yet found my main audience. This website is now live, and I welcome visitors, suggestions, critiques, and especially gallery managers interested in displaying my work.
Composite Images
With over a decade of experience using various versions of Adobe Photoshop, I frequently enhance some photos with the program. I often combine elements from two or three different photos to create a composite image. For example, if I find the sky in a photo to be undramatic, I might combine it with the sky from another photo. Additionally, I utilize various aftermarket cloud brushes, which are plugins for Adobe Photoshop, to enhance the skies in my photographs.
Photo stitching
Adobe Photoshop offers a valuable photo stitching feature. In the field, I often use a tripod and a panorama camera attachment to capture multiple frames, covering a 180-degree view. Back at the computer, I use Photoshop to stitch these frames together into a single, expansive panorama. While photographing, I visualize how the final panorama will appear when stitched together in Photoshop.
